Easiest Spaghetti Bolognaise Recipe ever

Everyone loves Spaghetti Bolognaise

When you are travelling on the road, the last thing you want to do is to spend large amounts of time over a stove using limited utensils, which is why, many of us ‘just go out for meals’ which often leads to a depletion of our travelling funds. However, if you don’t want to go out cause you saving money or just don’t want to, I’m going to share with you one of my favourite meals, and also one of the easiest and quickest meals to make. It also only needs a few utensils to get it made which suits those staying in hostels and/or are camping. With only 10 minutes of preparation time and 25 minutes of cooking time, that means, you will be eating in 35 minutes. So what meal am I talking about – Spaghetti Bolognaise.

Ingredients needed (for one to two people)
250g beef/lamb/pork/chicken mince (if you are vegetarian you could use vegetables of your choice.
1 tablespoon oil (if available) (or butter to fry with)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup tomato paste
Can peeled diced tomatoes (the tomato paste & diced tomatoes could be replaced with a pre-made sauce)
Pasta of your choice (for a bit of variety I change my pastas around – sometimes I use spaghetti, other times, Penne, spirals or even macaroni)

Method
Bring a saucepan of water to the boil with a touch of oil (if available) and add pasta and allow to cook for 10-15 minutes or until tender, then drain.
Heat oil (or butter) in a pan, add onions and cook, stirring over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.
Add mince, (or vegetables) stirring constantly until well browned.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes.

Serve: on its own or with salad and/or with garlic/herb bread. You could sprinkle some Parmeson Cheese on top if you have some. And a nice glass of wine. Enjoy.

Leftovers: you can use left over pasta for other pasta dishes.

This recipe plus many other easy and fast meals can be found in my ebook Travellers Fare – Fast and Fabulous meals for travellers.

I tried your easy Spaghetti Bolognese last night and was super impressed how easy it was. I am travelling on my own through Australia right now and staying in a hostel in Adelaide. It was great to make such a meal without having the stress of going out to find somewhere to eat on my own. I will try it again – definitely. Do you have other recipes?
